Preschoolers are guided through this phase of development in a warm, stimulating, nature-inspired environment.
We believe that children learn through ‘nature play’. Our preschool program is designed to help prepare children for Kindergarten.
Teachers will be using provocation techniques to invite the children to investigative their findings and encourage further experimentation. Repetition in this age group is key to learning concepts.
Our Learning Objectives for Preschool Curriculum include: Literacy Skill Development, (i.e.Reading, listening, writing and oral communication), Numeracy Skills, Environment and Community Awareness, Moral Awareness, Personal and Social Development, Self-Awareness and Self-Reliability, Self-Regulation, Social Relationships, Creative Expression, Yoga and Meditation, Citizenship and Identity, Physical skills and Health Learning.
*PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL AGE GROUPS WILL BE USING NATURAL AND ‘LOOSE – PARTS’ MATERIALS TO LEARN CONCEPTS IN ALL AREAS OF DEVELOPMENT. (IE. STICKS, ROCKS, TARPS, SHELLS, WOOD, SAND,WATER,MUD, LEAVES,SEEDS, ACORNS, PINECONES, ETC.)
(LOOSE-PARTS MATERIALS ARE THINGS THAT CAN BE MOVED, CARRIED, REDESIGNED, LINED UP,TAKEN APART AND THEN PUT BACK TOGETHER IN MULTIPLE WAYS. LOOSE PARTS CAN BE USED ALONE OR IN COMBINATION WITH OTHER MATERIALS. OBJECTS AND MATERIALS ARE DESIGNED TO BE OPEN-ENDED; LEARNING FOCUSES ON THE PROCESS VS THE PRODUCT.)

Our preschool room’s layout promotes independence, self-regulation, and nurtures social connections as well as connections to the Earth. Preschoolers can independently navigate through designated, defined learning spaces, while building cognitive skills, confidence and self-esteem.
